Dear Parents,
It was another intense month of activity, sport, fun and of course learning for the children. Students from Grades 1-8 did themselves proud in their annual Italian exams. The commissions were extremely complimentary and very impressed with the general standard of the Castelli students. The searing temperatures did not help, but the children withstood the challenging conditions to perform admirably.
After so many end of year presentations and fairs last month throughout the school, there still remained one very special one in the elementary school to go in June. Having contributed so much to drama and dance in the school, Ms Giulia went out with a bang as the Kindergarten group produced a delightful version of ‘Hercules.’ The enthusiasm, energy and joy from the children was evident for all to see.
The Grade 6 students wrapped up their incredible Tree Project with a spectacular end-of-year celebration of learning! They brought their learning to life through creative skits, showcasing their understanding of our local trees and the essential roles that bees, fungi, and other living organisms play in keeping these natural giants healthy. The Grade 7 students modernized Shakespeare’s Macbeth, trading the medieval setting for a fresh Gen-Z perspective. They delivered a performance packed with humour and boundless energy!
The traditional middle school STEAM Fair was filled with creativity and enthusiasm. It featured a variety of stalls, from heart dissection demonstrations to beautiful henna tattoos to the ever popular tie-dye shirt station. This proved to be a wonderful celebration of curiosity, innovation and hands-on learning!
The Under 11 boys team went to the American Overseas School of Rome. As usual, they performed with great determination and passion and were complimented by the organisers for their impeccable manners and sportspersonship - something which is a Castelli staple at these RISA sports events.
After all the work the children had put in this year, it was time to party! After an emotional assembly where we said goodbye to departing teachers and students, the end of year disco proved a wonderful way to conclude the last day of school and to herald the start of the summer holidays!
The school year closed with a beautiful Graduation Ceremony for our Grade 8 students who have reached an important milestone in their educational journey. We are very proud of their growth and achievements. A heartfelt thank you goes to the faculty, staff and families that have supported these students in their Castelli years and are now ready for high school!
On behalf of all the faculty and staff, we wish you and your families a wonderful, relaxing, and joy-filled summer. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in September for another exciting year of learning, growth, and shared success.

Cari genitori,
Giugno è stato un altro mese intenso, ricco di attività, sport, divertimento e, naturalmente, apprendimento per i ragazzi. Gli alunni delle classi dalla prima elementare alla terza media si sono distinti negli esami annuali di idoneità; le commissioni hanno espresso grande apprezzamento, rimanendo molto colpite dal livello generale di preparazione degli studenti della Castelli. Le temperature torride non hanno certo aiutato, ma i ragazzi hanno saputo affrontare le condizioni difficili con una prova eccellente.
Dopo le numerose presentazioni e fiere di fine anno svoltesi in tutta la scuola il mese scorso, ne restava ancora una davvero speciale per la scuola primaria nel mese di giugno. Dopo aver dato un contributo fondamentale alle attività di teatro e danza dell'istituto, l'insegnante Giulia ha concluso il suo percorso in grande stile: il gruppo della scuola dell'infanzia ha infatti messo in scena una versione incantevole di "Hercules". L'entusiasmo, l'energia e la gioia dei bambini erano palpabili.
Gli studenti della prima media hanno concluso il loro straordinario "Tree Project" con una spettacolare celebrazione dell'apprendimento! Hanno dato vita a quanto appreso attraverso scenette creative, dimostrando di conoscere a fondo gli alberi del nostro territorio e il ruolo essenziale che api, funghi e altri organismi viventi svolgono nel mantenere in salute questi giganti della natura. Gli studenti della seconda media hanno riletto in chiave moderna il "Macbeth" di Shakespeare, sostituendo l'ambientazione medievale con una prospettiva fresca e attuale, tipica della Generazione Z. Hanno offerto una performance ricca di umorismo ed energia incontenibile!
La tradizionale Fiera STEAM della scuola media si è svolta all'insegna della creatività e dell'entusiasmo. L'evento ha offerto una varietà di stand: dalle dimostrazioni di dissezione cardiaca, ai bellissimi tatuaggi all'henné, fino alla sempre apprezzata postazione per la decorazione di magliette con la tecnica *tie-dye*. È stata una splendida celebrazione della curiosità, dell'innovazione e dell'apprendimento pratico!
La squadra di calcio maschile Under 11 si è recata presso l'American Overseas School of Rome. Come sempre, i ragazzi hanno gareggiato con grande determinazione e passione, ricevendo i complimenti degli organizzatori per i modi impeccabili e lo spirito sportivo: caratteristiche distintive della scuola Castelli in occasione di questi eventi sportivi RISA.
Dopo tutto l'impegno profuso durante l'anno, è arrivato il momento di festeggiare! Dopo una toccante assemblea di saluto per insegnanti e studenti in partenza, la festa da ballo di fine anno si è rivelata un modo meraviglioso per concludere l'ultimo giorno di scuola e dare il via alle vacanze estive!
L'anno scolastico si è concluso con una splendida cerimonia di consegna dei diplomi per gli studenti della terza media, che hanno raggiunto un traguardo importante del loro percorso formativo. Siamo molto orgogliosi della loro crescita e dei risultati ottenuti. Un sentito ringraziamento va al corpo docente, al personale e alle famiglie che hanno sostenuto questi studenti durante gli anni trascorsi alla Castelli, preparandoli ad affrontare la scuola superiore!
A nome di tutto il corpo docente e dello staff, auguriamo a voi e alle vostre famiglie un'estate meravigliosa, rilassante e piena di gioia. Non vediamo l'ora di accogliervi nuovamente a settembre per un altro anno entusiasmante all'insegna dell'apprendimento, della crescita e di successi condivisi.
