On their trip to the “Bosco Macchia Grande di Manzsano” preserved by the Agrarian University of Manzano, our 6th graders picked some acorns.

They then listened to the forest guide who explained that it took two years to nurse a young oak tree in a pot before planting it in the ground. They succeeded almost for April 22nd Earth Tree day!

Now they will nurse the baby oaks for another year before planting it. In the meantime, a few energetic students started preparing the ground for at least one oak to plant on next April 22, 2017.

Good luck boys and good work!
