[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]Castelli International students made some amazing posters on climate change. On Friday the students took their posters and marched around the school grounds striking for a cleaner and healthier future.
Prior to the strike students discussed, debated and researched the effects of pollution.
Castelli International School is a major participant in the initiative to reduce plastic pollution. They have been very active through their Student Council, in eliminating plastic dishes, bottles, cups and cutlery. They are now working on phasing out single use plastic vending machines. Every Friday the protest continues. Castelli students hang out their posters for parents and guests to see and remind them that the crisis needs to be tackled now to make a difference for their future. Parents are inspired and are made much more aware of the problem by their own children who remind them on how to avoid plastic pollution.
The Castelli International Students raised money to join the WWF fund to clean the oceans and protect marine life. With the funds raised, by selling their 0 km. food products the students decided to “adopt” a WWF Koala.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][us_single_image image=”3749″ align=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Middle school students are researching specific SDG s (Sustainable Development Goals), launched by the United Nations, which they research, simplify and explain to the elementary students making ‘Buddy Learning’ an exciting educational experience for both, the student ‘teachers’ and the ‘taught’.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][us_single_image image=”3753″ align=”center” lightbox=”1″][vc_column_text]7th graders teaching the 5th graders about Peace and Justice, the 13th SDG goal[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][us_single_image image=”3751″ align=”center” lightbox=”1″][vc_column_text]6th grader explaining greenhouse effect to 2nd graders.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
