Una scuola con un forte senso della comunità non verrà mai dimenticata.
Alla Castelli si respira un’atmosfera familiare che infonde agli studenti ed ai genitori un vero senso di appartenenza.
La Castelli International Parents Association (CIPA) riveste un ruolo fondamentale nel promuovere iniziative che accrescono lo spirito di comunità, quali eventi sociali, giochi e raccolte fondi.
La esuberante ed attiva comunità degli ex studenti della Castelli si tiene in contatto da una parte all’altra del mondo e non perde occasione di passare alla scuola quando possibile. Facebook è il loro social media preferito e che ha reso possibile ai primi studenti della Castelli di 40 anni fa di tenersi in contatto con i loro compagni di classe e di dialogare con la sempre più numerosa comunità degli ex-studenti.
La Scuola ospita, quando possibile, professionisti esterni che contribuiscono in misura significativa ad arricchire le conoscenze degli studenti. Nel corso degli anni abbiamo ospitato esperti di astronomia, economia, ingegneria, medicina, nutrizione, musica e teatro.
La Castelli promuove scambi culturali e di collaborazioni con altre scuole ed istituzioni internazionali. I nostri studenti condividono idee e progetti con i loro coetanei di altre scuole nel mondo.
Ospitiamo scuole provenienti da altre parti del mondo ed abbiamo raccolto fondi per aiutare scuole e singoli studenti in Kenya, Malawi ed India.
La Castelli è socio fondatore della Rome International Schools Association (RISA), istituita per condividere problematiche di comune interesse, per promuovere scambi culturali, eventi formativi e conferenze per i docenti, nonchè organizzare giochi e competizioni interscolastiche.
My.Castelli è il portale riservato della scuola con cui la scuola e gli insegnanti aggiornano studenti e genitori sulle attività scolastiche, condividono lavori e risultati conseguiti dagli studenti, comunicano compiti a casa ed altri eventi di interesse per genitori e studenti.
Gli eventi sociali più importanti in calendario e che rinforzano lo spirito di comunità della scuola sono, il Winter Show, messa in scena da tutti gli studenti, Music Under the Stars, durante la quale gli studenti esibiscono i loro talenti musicali seguito da un rinfresco celebrativo organizzato dai genitori, Sports’ day, che vede la partecipazione degli studenti ad un intenso programma di giochi e competizioni sportive, seguito da un variegato buffet di cucine internazionali e da altre attività pomeridiane.

Being challenged to learn a subject in one language, and explain it in a second is no mean feat. As a staff team we discuss our students’ progress regularly and share strategies so we don’t work in silos.
The programme means academic expectations are high but the smaller class sizes and the fact that Castelli’s students have been well trained in collaborative learning, means that nobody gets left behind.
