Castelli U14 are the new RISA International Schools’ football champions after a thrilling victory at St George’s in early May. Despite some very close games, Castelli also achieved the remarkable milestone of going through the entire tournament without conceding a goal.
After winning all of their group games, Castelli found themselves embroiled in a tense semi-final battle against New School Rome. With just a few minutes remaining and with the scores level, Castelli found the goal that had eluded them for so long. Some nerve-wracking moments were to follow but Castelli hung on to claim their place in the final.

The final was another intriguing encounter as Castelli went head to head with the hosts, St George’s International School. In a very evenly-matched contest, two late goals and some characteristically resilient defending were enough to secure the match and to bring the trophy back to Castelli.
