Castelli International – A Cambridge International School
Following a rigorous assessment of our approach to teaching, our syllabus, our staff and our school’s facilities, Castelli International School was approved as a Cambridge International School. This permits Castelli International to offer the world famous Cambridge Examinations.
8th graders are able to take the IGCSE English as a Second Language Exam which, at grade C or above, is recognised by universities in the UK as “evidence of competence in the language for university entrance” (Cambridge prospectus 2012/13).
The English and Italian syllabuses have been interwoven so that at the end of the middle school cycle, students have the possibility to take the Cambridge Checkpoint Tests in Maths, Science and English. These tests are marked by Cambridge and provide an international benchmark of learner performance. The students will receive a “Statement of Achievement” from Cambridge.
As a Cambridge International School, these changes mean that the education your child receives from Castelli International is accredited by a highly respected organisation and in addition, it provides yet another incentive for parents in the Elementary School, to choose Castelli International Middle School for their children, allowing them to continue to enjoy the personal attention, and friendly effective and healthy learning atmosphere that Castelli International School prides itself on.
