Can You Hear the Colours

Castelli International Elementary School Music

“Color is the keyboard, the eyes are the harmonies, and the soul is the piano with many strings. The artist is the hand that plays, touching one key or another, to cause vibrations in the soul”. Wassily Kandinsky

Kandinsky was fascinated by how music could evoke such powerful emotions. Music, as he stated, is expressed through sound and time and allows the person the freedom to use their own imagination and have a unique and individual emotional response. Music helps elevate our spiritual values and uplift the human spirit and society.

luv JC’s comment. Only problem I see is with kids who are not allowed to access computers without parental supervision and for some parents it is hard as they work.  What other solutions could be found for these children.. could they look it up in encyclopeida and sketch a picture of the composer? Might not be exact image, but it’ll stick in their minds.

    To quote good old Shakespeare:

“Is it not strange that sheep’s guts should hale souls out of men’s bodies?”

Much Ado About Nothing Act II scene 3

That’s true gut strings were used in the past.
